My Period My Pride

A menstrual health project sought to address period stigma and shaming as well as provide sustainable ways for girls in deprived communities in the Upper West Region to manage their periods. The project reached out to 500 school girls (Junior High School) with reusable sanitary pads and education on menstrual hygiene. It also seeks to reach out to 500 school boys with education on menstruation, debunking some myths and misconceptions and enlightening them on how they can be of support to their sisters, friends and school mates during their period. The target districts were Wa East and Nadowli Kaleo.
