Brief Description of LifeAgain

Life Again is a youth-led and women-led Non-Profit Organization dedicated to addressing barriers to girls’ and women’s empowerment. Our mission extends beyond education to include economic empowerment, leadership development, and gender equality advocacy. We work to prevent teenage pregnancy and child marriage while also creating opportunities for girls and women to build sustainable livelihoods, access leadership roles, and participate meaningfully in social and economic life.

Our Vision

To promote gender equality by addressing teenage pregnancy and child marriage while empowering both girls and women to access education, build careers and achieve financial independence

Contract Signing

After selecting our beneficiaries, LifeAgain drafts a contract that spells out the rights and responsibilities of LifeAgain, Beneficiaries (the teenage mother) and their Guardians. Once the contract is ready, LifeAgain organizes a meeting with all of these stakeholders including the Assembly man/woman of the community for the signing of the contract.

Mentoring

We start our intervention with mentoring. We look for ladies who were once teenage mothers but have been able to rise above their situation and have gone back to school and have attained a higher education or have learnt a vocation and have been able to build careers out of it and are now financially independent women.

Financial Support

After knowing the career paths of our beneficiaries, we then provide them with financial aid to pursue them. We give 100% scholarship to beneficiaries who wish to go back to school to attain higher education. We also provide beneficiaries who wish to learn a vocation with all the items they need to be enrolled onto a vocation of their choice.

Sex Education and Contraceptive Use

We organize periodic sex education and contraceptive use sessions where we invite experts to enlighten our beneficiaries on safe sex to prevent subsequent unwanted pregnancies to enable them pursue their dreams without further distractions.
