“A girl should be two things: who and what she wants.” – Coco Chanel.
There are no limitations to what a young woman can do when she is given the right environment to operate. A lot of girls have great potentials in them waiting to be harnessed and brought to life but often times, these girls are discouraged when these potentials are seen as things girls can’t do or ascribed to be for men.
Across the world, women have demonstrated that they can be and do anything given the opportunity and some have even gone ahead to achieve great feats without any opportunity or platform for them. This is the power of a woman! A woman who is not intimidated in achieving her dream no matter the field it is.
This year’s International Women’s Day is being celebrated on the theme, “Break the Bias.” It is creating an awareness that girls are capable. Women have what it takes to do anything as far they are passionate about it. Why limit them? Why put them in a box and draw lines for them?
At LifeAgain, they have not failed in creating the awareness of these teenage mothers that, they are still capable and strong to pursue their dreams in any area they would want to be. They’ve set these teenage mothers out to explore like an eagle flying wide and high without restrictions. These girls have so much in them to make a change in the society
As we commemorate this day, let’s remember girls CAN, women CAN and there is therefore the need to break the bias and allow women to explore and cause the change the society want to see.
